DayDreamer Domes + Chef Valentino

With Il primo bacio, DayDreamer Domes launches its partnership with Chef Valentino, a private chef serving the Chicagoland area and Western Michigan who offers curated, custom menus featuring the best of Italy and Spain. At this limited seating event, three menu options will be available — seafood, veal, and vegetarian.

"We've named this event il primo bacio, because this is our first kiss with you," says Chef Valentino. "We hope it will be a long lasting love affair between you, DayDreamer Domes and my cuisine."

The Menu

The menu combines the flavors and history of Italian and Spanish cuisine with three options of seafood, veal, and vegetarian. Each course will be paired with a unique mocktail from DayDreamer Domes.

Antipasto

Charcuterie boards with Italian salamis, aged Italian cheeses, jams, dried and fresh fruits, nuts, amarena cherries, focaccia, and Italian peasant breads.

First Course (choose one)

Gazpacho andaluz (classic Spanish soup of blended tomatoes and cucumbers flavored with garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and lemon)
Bruschetta (Diced heirloom cherry tomatoes seasoned with fresh basil, olive oil, oregano, salt, and pepper)

Second Course (choose one)

Lasagna di Bologna (lasagna in a homemade ragu meat sauce with parmesan and pecorino romano cheeses)
Linguini ai frutti di mare (Seafood linguini with mussels, clams, octopus, and squid)
Saltimboca di vitello sabra un letto di finoccio e arancia (Veal over a bed of fennel and orange)

Palette Cleanser

Dessert (choose one)

Panna cotta (classic Italian creamy custard flavored with vanilla and topped with fresh berries)
Tiramisu (espresso-drenched lady finger cookies in a bed of Italian cream and mascarpone, dusted with cocoa powder)

Seafood is considered an aphrodisiac by Italians, and our seafood menu delivers with a main course of seafood linguini with mussels, clams, squid and octopus.

The veal menu features an individual charcuterie plate, showcasing the tradition of Italian salami and cheese. The gazpacho andaluz adds a touch of Spanish influence, while the veal saltimboca highlights classic Italian flavors with fennel and orange. Finally, the panna cotta dessert brings a sweet and creamy conclusion, representing the essence of Italian indulgence.

A vegetarian menu features gazpacho andaluz, linguini with truffles, and panna cotta.

GLAMPING AT DayDreamer Domes

DayDreamer Domes is the brainchild of Missy Fojtik, who has converted a 150-acre golf course into an upscale glamping experience. The wooded and manicured property features gold-covered geodesic domes with 14-foot ceilings and exotic interiors. Each is designed and situated throughout the repurposed golf course to allow guests to be immersed in nature while maintaining a five-star boutique hotel experience.

DayDreamer Domes also boasts a heated pink pool surrounded by a 20,000 sq. ft. turfed lounge area. The clubhouse has been converted into a lounge area with a salon for private events and a speak-easy style bar. It also features a bodega with refreshments and to-go food. In the spa area, float tanks offer a transformative experience of deep reflection.

“Our goal at DayDreamer Domes is to inspire and rewire,” says Missy, the Head Dreamer. “We are creating a space where people can disconnect from the day-to-day in order to reconnect with themselves and commune with nature, while being pampered with the highest-level hotel experience."

DayDreamer Domes is launching its program of Sunday Funday dinners with three special menus from Chef Valentino.

"I hope you'll choose DayDreamer Domes and my cuisine this Valentine's," says Chef Valentino, "Life it too short to not eat and drink well."

Tickets are limited and cost $110 each.
